Scriptings#24: Regarding 'Bulletin
Edited by Paul Gangloff and Achim Lengerer.
A collaboration with the Graphic Design Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam,

With contributions by:

156 issues of Bulletin were published between September 1968 and November 1989 by the Amsterdam-based gallery Art & Project, ran by Adriaan van Ravesteijn and Geert van Beijeren. Each issue consisted of an original work of an artist, within the format of four DIN A4 pages.
The cover template was designed by Wim Crouwel.

Based on the same format and design, this re-issue is a new application of the original concept of Bulletin designed and produced in an edition of thirty copies during the workshop entitled Regarding Bulletin. Regarding Bulletin was organized by Paul Gangloff and Achim Lengerer with the second year of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie’s Graphic Design Department, Amsterdam, October 2011.

A guideline for Regarding Bulletin might be the notion of a facsimile with a shift — to reproduce faithfully, but also derive decisively from the given. Regarding Bulletin wants to stress the notion of attention on, regarding, looking closely at the printed matter Bulletin, the design, the artistic concept, but also the art works that are contained within. Finally Regarding Bulletin is published as the 24th issue of the magazine Scriptings.

Scriptings would like to thank Michiel Nijhoff, Head of Library of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, NL, for his kind support.
